Finessence Flan 2.0! A twist on our signature flan with the star ingredient: Sri Lankan "Ceylon" cinnamon, known for its health benefits and unique flavour. Compared to the commonly-sold "cassia" cinnamon, Ceylon is sweeter and less intense in aroma.
We begin by infusing Ceylon cinnamon sticks and Madagascar vanilla beans to make the custard. Instead of white caster sugar, we cook with muscovado sugar from Mauritius for a darker molasse-like sweetness. Additional Ceylon cinnamon powder is rolled into the layers of our famous in-house puff pastry that takes over 3 days to make. The flan will be freshly baked in the morning and arrives in your hands later in the day!
Comes in two sizes: Regular (4 portions) and Large (8 portions)
Please note the large one will be in round shape, same as Flan Patissier.
We advise to keep the cake in room temperature on the day of delivery. After that, simply keep in the fridge and enjoy it within 2 days. To reheat, pop in the oven at 170C and heat for 5 minutes until the custard centre is warm.
